Did you ever feel like you were living somebody else's truth and you have a feeling in your heart that gnaws at you? This is your inner essence talking. It is the voice that gets covered up in the business of everyday living. To find the deepest sense of self requires slowing down to observe sensations that you feel in the body in the form of tightness, headaches, or perhaps indigestion. We need to cultivate a stillness to observe what comes up from the depths of our being. Kindness and self compassion help buffer the criticism that might bubble up from the past or our worries about the future. Give yourself the gift of just "being" in the moment. Stop to breathe, take in nature around you, or spend time with a beloved pet. All of these are examples of giving yourself permission to be truly and magnificently YOU! Namaste.
